Dr Grover is currently the President of the Ocular Trauma Society of India and the Oculoplastic Society of South Asia. He is Councillor at large and has been a member of the education committee of the APAO for over a decade. He is an active member of the advisory committee of the Ophthalmology Foundation Education Consortium (OFEC). Prof Grover has been President of the All-India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS) and the Oculoplastics Association of India (OPAI). She started working at Hospital Alor Setar (state general hospital) as a general Ophthalmologist in 1999 and subsequently pursued Vitreoretinal Subspeciality at Selayang Hospital (2002-2003) and Royal Liverpool University Hospital in 2004. She started providing vitreoretinal (VR) services in 2005 at the same hospital which was then relocated and renamed as Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah (HSB). The service was for patients from four states in the Northern Peninsula. She was Head of Ophthalmology Department at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah from 2013 until 2020. She received Outstanding Service in Prevention of Blindness award in 2021 by APAO. She has trained fellows in Vitreoretina and postgraduate students, many of whom are now working all over the country. It is her hope that they will continue to work sincerely and tirelessly, from the bottom of their hearts, to provide quality service and decrease the rate of blindness in the country.
